I can't log in
We are sorry for the problems you have experienced at HitQuarters.
First, please check if you have the correct password, by applying for it here.
If you think that you might be subscribing through a different e-mail address, please click here and a correct password will be sent to that e-mail address.
If you would like to change your e-mail address, click here.
If you don't know the e-mail address that you originally subscribed with, send a message to us and tell us your full name and what e-mail addresses you might have subscribed to HitQuarters with.
I can't upload an Mp3 or a picture.
If you can't upload an Mp3 or a picture, it is usually because the file itself is invalid or corrupt, or that the connection breaks.
If you are connected to the Internet through a slow connection, it is likely that the connection can be cut off. Unfortunately, there is no solution other than to try again.
Here are a few simple steps to check if an audio file is not valid for uploading:
- The size of the Mp3 should be less than 6 MB
- You can only upload Mp3's, Mp4's or WMA-files. If you are uncertain, check the extension of the file name - Artist_MySong.mp3
If your audio file is larger than 6 MB, you will have to make it smaller by converting it, or by downloading it from a CD to a smaller size. Converting can be done with Real Player, which can be downloaded at www.real.com.
Here are a few simple steps to check if a picture file is not valid for uploading:
- The size of the picture file should be less than 1 MB
- You can only upload jpg-files. If you are uncertain, check the extension of the file name - ArtistPicture.jpg
- If your picture looks bad on your artist page, try to re-size it to a width of 250 pixels.
If your picture file is larger than 1 MB, you will have to make it smaller. This can be done by using a picture program such as Adobe Photoshop Elements, which can be downloaded at www.adobe.com.
The easiest way to turn songs from a CD into MP3-files is with the software MusicMatch, which can be found at www.musicmatch.com.
To record Mp3s in Music Match:
- Open the Recorder window in the View menu.
- Insert the CD into the computer's CD tray.
- Go to Options\Recorder\Settings.
- Select Recording quality (128kbps is usually fine).
- Select Recording source (the CD drive).
- Click on Tracks directory and select the directory the file should be saved to.
- Uncheck the artist and album boxes.
- Return to Settings and click OK.
- In the Recorder window, check the boxes of the tracks you wish to record.
- Click the track names and name the mp3 file.
- Click Record. Once the mp3 file is recorded you can retrieve it from the directory you saved it to.
I can't pay with credit card.
We only support the following cards - VISA, MasterCard/Eurocard or American Express. If you have tried paying with one of these but failed, it is usually due to a temporary technical failure, so please try again - click here.
If you do not wish to pay by one of these cards you can join through Paypal.

When will I get feedback from the A&R Panel?
The success of our artists is very important to us; therefore our A&R team consider every submission carefully and listen thoroughly to all songs, since it is in our strong interest to supply the industry with talented artists.
Unfortunately we can't get back to everyone, due to the amount of songs that we get. If you haven't heard from us within 3 months, it has not been selected.
However, you are always welcome to submit more material. Many artists have been able to get through on a follow-up attempt, and some artists have been featured twice as Artist Of The Week, one of them scoring a major deal after the second feature.

HitQuarters only accepts song submissions when uploaded here.

You can also fill in a business card, there you are able to write the text and "search words" of your own choice. It works the same way as a link page but is more personalized.
We also kindly ask you to make a link to www.SongQuarters.com . At SongQuarters professional publishers and songwriters find leads of who is looking for songs among the 500 most successful artists in the world plus leads for upcoming artists. At the moment, there are more than 110 artists looking for songs altogether, with information of what style they are looking for, song samples and contact information. This information is also delivered in a weekly e-mail. With this information they are able to pitch their songs to other artists more efficiently.
SongQuarters - give me information
SongQuarters is a song pitching service for publishers (including all the majors) and songwriters. It provides them with information about which of the world's 500 most successful artists are currently looking for songs, including what style they are looking for, deadlines and contact information on where to submit songs. It also includes song samples and pictures of the artists.
SongQuarters also provides leads for new and developing artists, plus artists that are locally successful. In average, there is more than one quality lead per day of a gold selling artist or a new artist signed to an established label or manager. All new leads are posted on-line within 24 hours and distributed in a weekly e-mail.
The SongQuarters subscriber can then contact the A&Rs and managers for these artists on their own behalf and present their music. In that way they will build their own network of contacts and can more efficiently get their songs to other artists.
